Why Little Ninjas Karate?
Welcome to the Little Ninjas Karate Program.
Our Little Ninjas Program is an excellent choice for giving your child a strong start in life. Our program is designed for children ages 3 through 6 years old. Our Little Ninjas classes are fast-paced, fun-filled, educational and motivational. Kids love karate and parents love watching their kids learn and grow in a positive, well-disciplined and encouraging atmosphere. Each class is filled with exciting, hi-energy drills that are carefully designed to develop important life skills. Classes start simple and gradually become more challenging based on each child’s individual pace and readiness for new material. All lessons are based on positive recognition, reward and reinforcement for effort, skill, manners, sportsmanship and respectful treatment of others. Self-confidence and Self-esteem are built in a gradual step-by-step fashion. Martial Arts training builds a strong foundation that can easily be applied in academics, sports, arts and social settings outside the dojo.
Children will develop 8 fundamental skills – focus, teamwork, control, balance, memory, discipline, fitness and coordination. Through development of these skills children will become sharper, more focused, and better developed physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially than children who do not participate in a program strategically designed like our Little Ninjas program.
The Little Ninjas is a detailed curriculum that focuses on improving pre-school age children’s basic motor and listening skills. These skills will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. They will become better students at school, better listeners at home and more ambitious towards the future. We believe the time between the ages 3 and 6 are the most important years of a child’s development. Our program will enhance development in a fun and motivating way.
We use the martial arts approach to build these skills. We have broken these skills down into age-specific exercises, activities and drills that complement each child’s stage of development. This approach includes reinforcing good discipline, displaying confidence, and maintaining a positive attitude. We reinforce that martial arts training extends way beyond kicking and punching. The customary discipline protocol is martial arts. This includes standing at attention when commanded, responding with respect by saying “yes sir” and “yes ma’am”, bowing to the flags and each other, and maintaining a positive attitude. With professional Martial Artists as the role-model instructors, and the mixture of fun games and activities with basic kicks, strikes, and blocks during class, a child’s first exposure to martial arts training will generate results!
